The Carolyn Cody Book Project is an annual initiative dedicated to providing a book to every PreK student in Cleburne ISD, offered in both English and Spanish. This meaningful program is named in honor of Carolyn Cody, who devoted more than 40 years to Cleburne ISD as a special education teacher, principal, and assistant superintendent. Following her retirement in 2008, Mrs. Cody continued her commitment to education as a founding member of the Cleburne Education Foundation. She has long believed that strong reading skills begin at an early age and serve as the key to unlocking a lifetime of learning. The goal of this project is to help our youngest Yellow Jackets begin building their own at-home libraries while fostering a lifelong love of reading.
